Need Fall 2017 Book Sale Volunteers!

As always, we will need many volunteers to help with the set-up, sale, and break down for Friends of the Lane Memorial Library’s Fall book sale. Here is the schedule for volunteers:

Wednesday, November 15:

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon – Set Up 

5:00 – 7:30 p.m. (“Friends members only” night – can be busy)

Thursday, November 16: (First day of public sale)

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, November 17:

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m

 Saturday, November 18:

 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

11:00 a.m. – noon

noon – ???   CLEAN UP – the more volunteers, the faster the clean up; typically up to an hour.

The Lane Memorial Library is actively seeking entries for the 6th Annual Soup of the Americas contest! 

Enter your family’s favorite soup featuring 2 ingredients unique to the New World to win!

Soups will be judged by popular vote and Chef’s Choice.

Chef’s 1st place is a $50 gift certificate to Chez Boucher

Chef’s 2nd place is a $25 gift certificate to Chez Boucher

People’s 1st place is a $50 gift certificate and gift basket from Philbrick’s Fresh Market

People’s 2nd place is a $25 gift certificate from Seacoast Soups

Pick up and fill out an entry form at the Main Desk or find it on the library’s websiteBring it back to the library by Friday, October 6th for a chance to help feed our library community and compete for prizes on Columbus Day, October 9th at 12 PM.
